Our next trip out was to Beatrix Bay. Still farmed it appears to be going back to bush.
Looking north on the way to the bay.
On the eastern side the farm house and pasture. A mussel farm to the right.
Our anchorage for the night, I wonder what history lies behind the house.
Looking to the south west from the anchorage, the boys having fun in the tender.
The wind came up in the early hours the next morning and we ended up stern to the bay and our bows pointing down there. Plenty of chain out so no problems but it was time to go.
Hi Sean,
Glad to see your back in the world of cruising and am enjoying it with you. So you can imagine my surprise to see Kapowi is up for sale on a UK website….. Will be really hard to see her go I think, but you have some absolutely fantastic memories. Keep in touch mate and let me know if you do sell.
Kind Regards
Royce

I know the Saratoga house well. My brothers and I and several friends moved in in 1975…..it was sort off a commune in a very informal way. We had lots of visiting travellers, some who stayed, and this time has left rich memories for me……my first girlfriend, much pioneering and much hope.
My brother Marty is currently completing a book about his, and our, experiences here. Words cannot do justice to the feelings these memories evoke
