Another pleasant day trip and we anchored off the marina at Ochos Rios. This is a cruise ship port but none visited while we were there.
Had a quick trip to visit customs and the port police and met a couple of the local boatmen and had a beer with them in the bar.
That night we all went ashore by tender and met one of them again and he offered to show us round. Fitzroy proved a very good guide, we wandered through the cruise ship area:
Then to a local park,
He then found a nice local place where we had jerk dishes washed down with red stripe beer.
After that it was off to the local market which was still very busy. Fruit, vegetables plus hot sauces, everything we needed.
Fitzroy would not accept anything as a thank you but seemed to enjoy his evening.
