Our next destination was Denia to visit friends who live in Javea. They are both quite old places. Denia was a greek port known to be in use in 600 BC and Javea was used by the Romans, their salt pans on the beach are still there.
Here is Javea beach with Mt. Mongo in the background. General Franco’s holiday home is just out of the picture to the right.
Looking over Javea
Looking back at Denia and the castle mount.
We had a relaxing stay and thanks to our friends, Tom & Lucy, we had our first night off the boat since April 10th last year.
