In Halifax the maritime museum had a section covering the loss, the bodies of the deceased were brought to Halifax and many are buried there.
Southampton also has reminders of the loss and the impact it had on people.
The weekend after we came out the water we caught the train up to Winchester.
A fantastic cathedral city and the old capital of medieval England. It also had a great food market on the Sunday so we ended up with pies, cheese and pickles for our lunches.
